Yes I know it’s December and there are still a few days to go before Christmas is upon us. Yes, I know I should probably be talking about Christmas recipes and festive cheer, but I do think it’s worth pointing out that January is less than 2 weeks away. As we know it’s a time of fresh starts, with a myriad of New Year Resolutions emerging amongst the masses. That’s why I want to talk about Veganuary. At Veganuary, a charity inspiring people to try vegan for January and throughout the rest of the year, the team points out ‘there’s a reason for everyone to try vegan’, and I agree. Whether it’s for the animals, your health and nutrition or the environment, the direction of travel is plant-based, and the evidence really is stacking up. So if you haven’t already, when you do start thinking about changes you’d like to make from the beginning of 2018, why not give Veganuary some consideration? More information about a vegan diet and lifestyle can be found on the Vegan Society website and more information about Veganuary can be found here. The British Dietetic Association also have a new fact sheet on a Plant Based Diet.
